What Does the Name Kadhai Chicken Mean?
Kadhai Chicken gets its name from Kadhai, which is a utensil meaning Indian wok. Many restaurants use this utensil to cook. You can cook spicy and tangy food with this utensil. The kadhai chicken has a burst of flavour with each bite.

What Chicken Should You Use?
When you’re making the following kadhai gravy recipe, you should use fresh and good-quality meat. When you use a lump of good-quality meat, it affects your health and overall well-being. It will also make your meals taste delicious and juicy. If you’re someone who doesn’t like chicken with bones, you can use boneless chicken to cook this lip-smacking meal.

Ingredients for Kadhai Chicken
To make kadhai chicken, you will require the following ingredients:

kadhai gravy

Chicken — 250 g
Veeba Kadhai Gravy — 1 bottle
Oil — 2 tbsp
Diced Onion — ½ cup
Diced Capsicum — ½ cup
Kasoori Methi Crushed — 1 tsp
For Marination
Ginger-Garlic Paste — 1 tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder — ½ tsp
Salt — to taste
Lemon Juice — ½ squeezed

Method
● Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, and lemon juice for 45 minutes to an hour.
● In a bowl, add half a bottle of kadhai gravy and an equal amount of water. Keep it aside.
● Sauté diced onions and capsicums with 250 grammes of marinated chicken. Don’t cook it too much because the capsicums may lose their crunch.
● Add the gravy mix to the pan with the sauteed veggies and bring it to a boil. Serve hot with naan or rice.

Note
● You can add some additional flavoring and spices to make this taste exactly the way you want it to.
● Always use fresh chicken and not stale chicken because it may affect its taste.
● If you want to add a smoky flavour, you can add charcoal. You can do so by smoking out the charcoal in a pan and then covering the cooked gravy for 3 to 5 minutes.
